Hello! I've been seeing the terms "public IP" and "private IP" a lot lately, but I don't fully understand the difference between them or why they're needed. Can someone explain how they work and why both are important for a network? Thanks in advance!

Public IP addresses are used to identify your network on the internet and are assigned by your ISP. They enable communication between your network and external networks public ip vs private ipĀ are used within your local network to identify individual devices and are not accessible from outside your network. Both are crucial for network functionality: public IPs for external communication and private IPs for internal organization.
