For the last couple of months, I have noticed that after drinking even a small amount of alcohol, the next day I feel foggy in my head, absent-minded, and have problems concentrating. What is this connected with? Is this a normal reaction of the body or should I worry? Maybe someone has encountered something similar?

This problem is indeed common. For many people, alcohol affects not only the liver, but also cognitive functions, causing decreased concentration, absent-mindedness, and slow thinking. This may be due to the effect of alcohol on the brain's neurotransmitters. Long-term alcohol consumption or even rare but heavy drinking can lead to deterioration of brain function for a long time. You can read more about the mechanism of this phenomenon and ways to overcome it here https://unitedrecoveryproject.com/rehab-blog/brain-fog-after-drinking/ . To minimize the effect, try to reduce alcohol consumption, drink more water, and include foods rich in antioxidants in your diet.
